“And when Mosheh ended speaking all these words to all Yisra’ĕl, he said to them, “Set your heart on all the words with which I warn you today, so that you command your children to guard to do all the Words of this Torah. For it is not a worthless Word for you, because it is your life, and by this Word you prolong your days on the soil which you pass over the Yardĕn to possess.”
Deutoronomy 36: 45-47, The Scriptures
This is the one of the promises I hold on to in my homeschooling journey. I teach my children to guard the Word because IT IS LIFE. When all the questions that most homeschooling parents have – such as the proverbial, “Am I doing enough?” – bog me down, it comforts me to know that our focus on Scripture is not worthless but LIFE giving. Through hectic days, delayed deadlines, surprise pregnancies and heartbreaking miscarriages, His Word gives us LIFE. All of us. My husband always teaches us that we must not just know truth but be truth! In a similar way, the Word IS our life. What a beautiful reminder of our Savior Yahusha. Thank you Father, may we always praise your qodesh name, Yahuah.
