The goals of education for our family are not static. However, this list encompasses our basic goals.
- Raise adults who identify as disciples of Yahusha the Messiah
- Work at individual levels and abilities, recognizing that Yahuah has given to each of us special gifts, talents, and personalities
- Have a lifestyle that supports families as a Yahuah-designed unit
- Let our “light shine” so that all can see the love of Yahusha in our life
- Understand that a particular end does not justify the means by which we arrive at that end (process is more important than product)
- Provide educational opportunities commensurate with ability
- Allow room to explore different educational experiences
- Provide an encouraging environment conducive to learning
- Ask hard questions of data, investigate or discuss the truth of opinions (dialectic)
- Define problems independently
- Scan masses of irrelevant information and extract useful aspects quickly
- Develop the ability to conceptualize
- Develop the ability to reorganize information into new patterns which enable a different perspective than the customary
- Develop fluency in moving among different modes of thought – deductive, inductive, heuristic, intuitive, et al.
- Collaboration with a partner or teams
- Develop skill in discussion of issues, problems, or techniques
- Develop skill in rhetoric
