Dedicated and experienced Florida certified educator with a strong background in Biology and Counseling, currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education. Committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, with four years of successful home education experience. Seeking a challenging role to leverage my skills and expertise in education and counseling.
Professional Experience
2012-2018: I taught Middle School Science for 6th-8th grade, as well as Pre-Algebra for 7th and 8th graders at King’s Christian School for about six years. Here I implemented interactive and engaging science lessons, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities; established a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and collaboration among students; conducted regular assessments and provided constructive feedback to support students’ academic growth and development; helped students thrive in learning in a small, family-focused setting.
2018-2020: At Florida Christian School, I taught Environmental Science and Marine Science to Juniors and Seniors for about three years. I adapted and delivered comprehensive curriculum and laboratory work, integrating hands-on experience and real-world applications; provided personalized educational counseling to students, addressing academic and personal challenges to enhance overall well-being; organized and facilitated extracurricular science activities, fostering a passion for learning beyond the classroom.
2019-Present: Starting my fifth year as a Homeschool Official for my children, I facilitate learning for pre-school and high school ages. I develop and implement tailored educational curricula for children aged 5-15, focusing on science, math, literacy, the arts, and Scripture; utilized innovative teaching methods to engage and motivate students; collaborated with other home education parents to create a supportive and enriching learning community; advised and managed educational programs, including dual-enrollment. Successfully graduating my first born was an absolute highlight of my career.
2023-2024: With Catapult Learning, I taught Reading and Math Intervention to 1st through 7th graders at Gladeview Christian School. Tailoring lessons to provide the best intervention possible to fill in gaps in learning.
2024-Present: At Miami Dade College, I am currently an Adjunct Professor of several Psychology courses and Student Life Skills courses. At Albizu University, I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Biology in Contemporary Society. I also co-create courses with parents and facilitate education for homeschooling parents through my business, Kingdom Education.
