“For we all stumble in many matters. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able to also bridle the entire body.” James 3:2
The impact words have on ourselves and others is often underestimated. While enduring a difficult situation the things we tell ourselves can at times be the very things holding us back from freedom – the kind of freedom that allows us to worship through pain. Nothing is more important in those moments than to capture any thought not submitting itself to the will of Yah and surrendering it to Him so He can judge it. How much more important to watch for the words that are uttered as a result of these thoughts. Self-control of our speech is directly related to our ability to surrender thoughts. We don’t need to overcome them on our own, Yahusha is the judge and overcomer, the redeemer of all we are unto esteem for Yahuah. Speak the Word of Scripture out loud. Believe in and obey what He says. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much (James 5:16b).
