We tend to ask this question in the wrong context. When faced with a difficult situation we wonder why we are going through it. Why has it affected us?
What if instead we chose to ask why did you choose me? Why did you love me first? Why did you die for me while I was still a sinner? Why do you continue to reveal yourself to me? In these, although we are still asking why me, they reveal the love and compassion of a good, good Father. And when faced with who He truly is, then we can trust Him through any difficult situation. We must see them all from a perspective of eternity.
