“A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17
Friendships are works in progress. Friends can easily become closer than family when rooted in the love of Yahuah. However, those friendships will need to be tested to be refined. Often times, the test lies in the times of adversity when what we need to hear is not what we want to hear. It is at this crossroad that the true friend is willing to lay down the friendship as a sacrifice for the sake of the one you love. At this point the true friend lovingly speaks the Truth of the Word, even when it cuts deeply. The true friend also sticks around while the wound is healing, however uncomfortable that may be. The true friend will always help to adjust course and remain on the Ancient Path. This is the test. No matter what pain may come, you know you have a true friend when their actions are motivated by love and obedience to Yahuah.
