“So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.” Romans 8:12-13
Yes, the spirit might be willing while the flesh is weak, but we must remember that the flesh must submit to the spirit. The flesh doesn’t submit to the spirit by shear will power though. This is our own power, and it is worthless for the purposes of Yahuah. The flesh submits to the spirit in humility and repentance. Get small not big. Don’t resolve in your mind to have it all put together and just constantly try your best. Rather, resolve in your mind to put to the death the flesh and its desires to exalt yourself in the eyes of man. Be willing to humble yourself instead. The Ruach will then have room to work in bringing Yahuah the esteem He deserves. Submit your flesh to humility, for a lowly heart He will not despise.
