HE SAYS COME

“Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Living with grief is a balancing act for a doer of the Word. On one hand we have a sense of bottomlessness, unknown depths of nothingness. Yet, on the other hand an understanding of the meaning behind the suffering. The intimate knowledge of expectation of both suffering and meaning. The present versus eternity. The postpartum woman knows too well of the dichotomies that can present themselves through the everyday, deceptively seemingly mundane tasks. Our children need us, our Father calls us. He says come – exhausted, frustrated, busy – come no matter what, because He and only He can give rest to our weary souls.
